A meaningful appeals process is a legally-required component of a results-based incentive program:
- Employees can appeal the accuracy of a biometric parameter or a lab results and provide additional data regarding that parameter.
- Employees can request an alternative standard. The Prevention Group planning process includes the selection of a range of alternative standards available on appeal that minimizes time and frustration for the employee. With regard to weight, the alternative standard can involve 10 pound weight loss with completion of our online nutrition course in lieu of normalizing a high body mass index.
- Waivers must be available for those confronted with significant medical conditions.
- The Prevention Group Scoreboard data management system streamlines the process of declaring alternative standards and managing appeals.
